Ei was the owner of a big company, and an investor of your fathers own company, making them business partners.

When Ei was going to have Scaramouche, you were five and Ei and your father decided they would arrange a marriage for you two so you you two could inherit both companies and make the partnership stronger.

Of course, you were too understand that it was an arranged business marriage. You barely got to know him when you two were kids, before you and your family had to leave for business reasons.

You only came back to confirm your engagement three years before you prepared to marry him at 24 years old.
