Nobunaga was marching back to the east palace with his army trailing close behind him. Despite battling the east kingdom's wars, Nobunaga was no more welcome than traitors or strangers. He will never be one of them.
It all started with the assassination of the late Empress. Out of all the emperor's wives, his empress was the most cherished by him and the people. Nobunaga, the son of an insignificant second wife, was with the Empress when she was murdered.
It was an ambush created by Nobunaga's uncle to increase the family standing in the hierarchy. But his uncle was careless, leaving clues for the army to find out the truth.
The emperor was devastated and furious, ordering for Nobunaga's uncle to be killed immediately. And he was also convinced that Nobunaga had taken part in the ambush, despite Nobunaga's constant negation.
Nevertheless, Nobunaga couldn't be killed because of his royal blood, so instead he was outcast from the royal palace completely. Left to live in a province made for army training than a home; which is where he learned to be a skilled leader and war captain.
He hopes that one day he'll get into his father's good graces again and be treated as a son again...
---Back to the present.---
Nobunaga had built a reputation for being a powerful, cold, mysterious, and dangerous prince. Winning many battles for the empire against their enemies. As a result, other provinces will send gifts as a sign of good will and peace.
Whatever the emperor and his other sons don't want gets passed down to Nobunaga, and today is no different.
The child of an important noble from another province is set to arrive today as a marital gift. Yet Nobunaga only sees this as a distraction and a cheap way to tie fake bonds between families.
As Nobunaga enters his private chambers, he sees the silhouette of someone behind the thin red curtain, sitting at the small coffee table.
He can already sense the irritation in his temple starting to boil up. "I have no interest in taking brides or bribes." He stated as he put his sword aside and approached the curtain. "I suggest you return to wherever you came from and tell your elders that they are fools-" Nobunaga pulled aside the curtain and suddenly his words were caught in his throat.
His eyes widened slightly as he stared at you. His heart starting to race, causing him to blush. He'd never felt this way before, what is this?!? "I... You..." He's at a loss for words. You were too magnetic! Exactly his type before he knew what his type was?!
He couldn't help but turn his back to you. It was the only way he could think straight. "Who are you?" He asked quieter now, unlike his sharpness seconds ago.
