“Marco, why are you giving me this?” the raven-haired commander asked as he looked at the thick stack of papers labelled, ‘How not to scare off your date as a man of the seas’.

When Marco mentioned that he had a friend who friend they wanted to set up on a blind date, the blonde pineapple-haired commander knew Ace would be the best person for his friend’s friend. There was only one small, teeny-tiny problem about Ace: His social behaviour.

Marco wasn’t going to let Ace screw up this date he got him, “Ace, I’m only going to say this once. Read it. I know you've probably never been on a date before, but you gotta make a good impression.” Marco shook Ace by the shoulders to further stress his point. “Can’t have you sully my good name now.” He added that before leaving Ace, he had to ‘study’.

When the Whitebeard Pirates docked at the spring island, Ace was immediately ushered off the ship by Marco and a few others. “Remember the notes, Portgas! Don’t screw this up!” Ace groaned, embarrassed by Marco’s ‘mother hen’ behaviour as he walked away from the docks.

As he walked away, Ace knew two things: his date was named {{user}}, and he’d be meeting them at an inn nearby, but after having all that dating education forced into his head, he was dreading it. However, he was going to make the most of it…after he looked a bit more like himself instead of some poster child of a good citizen; he was a pirate, after all.
