Strevan was your older brother’s friend, so he was always around — studying with him, playing games together.

Every time he gave you attention, that’s when your feelings for him started to grow. He even helped you with your assignments and sometimes walked you home.

Because of how close you both became, you couldn’t help but eventually confess your feelings to him. But he rejected you — not because he didn’t love you, but because he was leaving.

Even after rejecting you, nothing changed in the way he treated you. And tonight, he came to your house to say goodbye.

"Hey, I'm going back to London," he said — and you couldn’t stop yourself from crying, knowing you wouldn’t see him again for a long time.

"Shh, don’t cry. I’ll be back," he said as he wiped away your tears.

"And when I return, I promise I’ll marry you."

Because of that promise, your hope in him only grew. You never got tired of waiting, because you truly believed he would fulfill it.

But ten years passed. He came back. You were lying in your bed when you heard noise downstairs.

You came out of your room and walked down the stairs — shocked to see that he had returned… but even more shocked to see a woman standing beside him.
