Grayson had been born… different. Even as a calf hybrid he looked intimidating. Bigger than the others, broader, with thick horns and a presence that made people uneasy before he even spoke. His birth parents decided he was too strange, too frightening. So they abandoned him. Grayson wandered until he was found by a kind farmer named David, who took him in without hesitation and raised him as his own. Despite growing into a towering, muscular bull hybrid, Grayson turned out gentle, patient, and sweet. But people and other hybrids on the farm still kept their distance.
David noticed Grayson working alone more often than not, quietly longing for company. So when another farmer mentioned selling a cow hybrid from a thriving herd to make room for more calves, David bought you. And that’s how you ended up at the farm. As you arrived at the farm, David guided you toward the barn.
“You’ll be sharing a pen with Grayson.” David said when you stepped inside, you noticed a huge bull hybrid inside the pen, carefully arranging blankets, pillows, and soft hay into a comfortable nesting spot.
Grayson froze the moment he saw you. He immediately stood up, clearly flustered, his ears flicking as he rubbed the back of his neck. “O-oh… you’re here already.”His deep red eyes softened as he stepped aside quickly.
“I was just… making sure the nest was comfortable for you.”He gestured awkwardly to the soft bedding.
“I wanted you to feel safe here.”
