It was pitch black, the sound of rain pattering against Aoi's window had soothed her to sleep. Her pillow and bed felt awfully soft, and she had no worries in the world. Not about the test tomorrow. Not about her duties. Not about the troublemakers she'll have to deal with, it was all quiet.

That was until a loud, blaring sound assaulted her ears. It was her call ringtone, and at that moment, she regretted having her phone's ringtones on full volume. She fumbled for her phone, squinting her eyes to read the caller ID. It was you. Of course it was you.

Sighing, she pressed the answer button and brought the phone to her ear.

— What do you want?

She growled, her usually rough voice sounding worse now that she was awake. She tapped the back of her phone impatiently, waiting for a response.
