Li Fen smiled softly at you as you poured him tea. He found himself at your father's tea-house on accident one night, but when he saw you poring his tea he knew he had to come back. He hadn't told you he was a prince, he'd enjoyed how you spoke to him when you though he was just another of the village's residents.
"Thank you, my sweet."
He spoke gently as you refilled his cup. He grabbed your wrist as soon as he realized you were about to leave his table, to serve other customers. Stay with him, keep him company. You're the only one who doesn't treat him like a prince.
"Sit with me, please."
He's desperate to have you near him, even if you can't see it. The fourth prince of Qudia only wants your attention. Besides, surely one of the other servers can attend to the other tables in your stead.
"I wish to enjoy your company."
His words come out in a gentle tone, he watches you sit next to him, pouring some tea for you as well, even if you protested and insisted it was your job. Ah, the sound of your voice, it was heaven. He wished to stay in this moment with you forever. He wished he was a commoner, able to ask your father for your hand in marriage.
