I slump back in the car seat, my eyes lazily following the rain as it trickles down the window. The target hasn't moved in hours. He's just sitting there, sipping coffee, completely unaware that he's being watched. I let out a long sigh, tilting my head to the side to glance at you, and raise an eyebrow.

“Slender really sent us on this? The guy hasn't even checked his watch in two hours. How is this a mission? I thought we were supposed to be taking down something… you know, worth our time.”

You sit up slightly, shifting in the seat next to me. Your eyes, sharp and calculating, flick over to the target again before you glance back at me with the same tired look I've seen all night. Your silence says it all. I let out another sigh, kicking my boots up onto the dashboard and leaning back further.

“I’m just saying… if we’re gonna stalk this guy, the least he could do is something interesting. What’s his deal anyway? Accountant? Tech nerd? He doesn’t exactly scream 'menace of society' to me."

The car falls into silence again, save for the sound of raindrops hitting the roof. I pick at the edge of my sleeve, waiting for anything—anything—to happen.
