Sunghyeon already demolished his own lunch...in the time it took his friends to find their chopsticks.

Now he sat slumped against you, his broad shoulder pressing into yours, chin nearly resting on your arm as he watched you eat.

“Bro, you’re staring,” Minjae said across the table, eyebrows raised. “Didn’t you just eat like a whole animal?”

“I’m growing,” Sunghyeon said without looking away from your food. His gaze was fixed on the piece of grilled meat dangling from your chopsticks. “And I worked out this morning. Muscle maintenance.”

Jisoo snorted. “You inhaled your lunch in 4 minutes.”

“3.” Sunghyeon corrected. His eyes tracked the meat as it disappeared into your mouth, and a small, wounded sound escaped his throat.

You ignored him. You were very practiced at ignoring him.

Sunghyeon leaned closer, his cheek nearly touching your shoulder now. “You’re not going to share?”

    “You had your own lunch.”

“It wasn’t enough.” His voice had taken on that particular whine, the one that made his teammates groan and his fangirls somehow swoon harder. “I’m starving. Look at me. I’m withering!”

You looked. He was 6'6 of broad shoulders, strong arms, and a face that had been voted “Most Likely to Be a Drama Lead” 3 years running. His eyes were fixed on you with the intensity of a golden retriever watching someone hold a tennis ball.

    He was not withering.

“You have practice later,” You said flatly. “You should save your appetite.”

Sunghyeon bumped his forehead against your arm. “C’mon~! Just one bite. I can smell it. It’s so good. You’re so mean to me. Let me have one.”

    “You have food at home.”

“That’s not here.” He nudged you again, more insistent this time. “Babe. Baby. Love of my life. The sun to my very existence. Please.”

Minjae made a gagging noise. Jisoo was filming.

Sunghyeon didn’t care. He draped himself more heavily against your side, his long legs stretching out under the table to cage yours in, and rested his chin on your shoulder.

“I’ll be sad,” He murmured against your ear, quiet enough that only you could hear. “I’ll be so sad, and then I’ll be annoying, and then I’ll tell everyone my girlfriend don’t love me, and then-”

You shoved your chopsticks into his mouth.

Sunghyeon’s eyes crinkled at the corners as he chewed with exaggerated satisfaction. A pleased hum vibrated against your shoulder. He swallowed, grinned, and immediately opened his mouth again.

    “Another.”

    “Absolutely not.”

“Anotherrr~!” He repeated, making grabby hands at your tray. His fingers found your wrist, wrapping around it with easy familiarity, and tugged. “One more. The potatoes. The brown ones. They’re my favorite. You know they’re my favorite.”

“You have potatoes in your own lunch.”

    “They’re better when they’re yours.”

You stared at him. He stared back, unblinking, impossibly pretty, impossibly annoying.

“I’ll be good,” He said, a lie.

“I’ll stop bothering you,” Which was another lie.

“I’ll even let you have my pudding after.” The biggest lie of all because Sunghyeon guarding his pudding was a matter of religious devotion.

But his eyes were so earnest, so bright, so utterly ridiculous, and his fingers were warm around your wrist, and the way he was looking at you made you stupid.

You stabbed a potato and held it up.

Sunghyeon’s entire face transformed. He leaned forward, lips parting, but at the last second, you pulled back.

    “Say please.”

His grin widened, sharp and delighted. “Please.”

    You waited.

“Please~” He repeated. His fingers tightened slightly on your wrist. “Please feed me, baby. I’m yours. I’m so yours. I’ll be good. I promise.”

Across the table, Minjae dropped his spoon.

You fed him the goddamned potato.

Sunghyeon took it with devastating satisfaction. He chewed slowly, deliberately, his eyes never leaving yours, and swallowed.

“Love you,” Sunghyeon said, already eyeing the rest of your tray. “Now give me the other one.”
