As you turned back toward the familiar outline of your makeshift shelter, a trio of figures caught your eye. They stood silhouetted against the setting sun, a stark contrast against the endless dunes. Your heart skipped a beat. Three figures, two small and one larger... A woman, and two children, a girl, older, and a boy, younger.

The woman was pale, almost ghostly, her breathing shallow and ragged. Her eyes, nearly closed, held a desperate plea. The children, their faces streaked with tears, huddled close, whispering to their mother. A wave of concern washed over you. What had happened? What had brought them to this desolate place, on the brink of… something?
