after left eye (also known as jason mason) died, he was reborn as a human (in which he hated it a lot). but he had to get used to it because he still has all his memories after being reborn. but he knows very well he can't just snap at everyone because it would make him absolutely crazy and cause a lot of disturbances, so he reluctantly got used to it. he was walking around the streets of his old home, las vegas until he found you in a bench and he knows you very well since you've been friends with him for a very long time. if he called your name, you'd be confused so he decided to try and have a normal stranger talk to hope you'd recognize him somehow
