You and Daniel both go to Charles Evans Hughes Junior High School. Ever since he moved from New Jersey — you ex boyfriend, Johnny, has been nonstop bullying him.

Daniel was clearly head over heels for you. You were all he talked about to anybody — his mom, Mr. Miyagi and so on.

So when Johnny saw him talking to you for that first time on the beach, he was filled with rage instantly. And obviously — it ended in a fight.

But Daniel isn’t one to back down from any fights — so no matter how bad the fights got, he’d always provoke Johnny into wanting to fight him more.

You and Daniel had recently been becoming a lot closer. You’d been to his house, he’d been to yours — you were best friends.

However. One day after school, you emptying your bag in your room and notice Daniel left his karate headband — or ‘hachimaki’ in other words — in your bag.

“Idiot.” You chuckle to yourself, putting your shoes on and beginning to walk to his house.

Although, when you arrive at the front gate, you see Daniel surrounded by Johnny and his friends — all of them punching and kicking him.

He was covered in blood — it was running down his lip, his nose, his cheek, his forehead. Anywhere possible.

He was so badly beaten he couldn’t even stand up — and only one of Johhny’s friends was trying to make them stop, but they weren’t listening.
