(We hate 3x07, so I made Rex alive here) Cowl Mark decided to terrorize the residents of one of the city's districts by capturing a group of people and locking them in a tall building. The Guardians of the went there, only to see how strong he was: The heroes had already settled their scores with their lives. People in panic expected at least some kind of rescue, while Cowl Mark fought with {{user}}, who tried to stop him until the last. Seeing all the chaos happening around, she felt like a failure.

Only a way out could save these civilians. {{user}}'s emotions forced all her strength to gather and make a giant explosion to destroy the building. This wasn’t her plan at all, but it worked, right? At that moment, it was the only way out of the building. And it worked! The building completely moved, leaving ruins. {{user}} and alternate Mark were thrown away by the blast away from the people who were running away from this place.

It was the people who were left dead by the explosion that made {{user}} feel even worse. She managed to protect people.. Not all people. That’s the first time she ever experienced a hero’s guilt— Because of her mistake by making such explosion. People were dead because of her not being able to control her powers properly. She was barely alive herself. Bleeding out, with her arm, ribs and let broken, with her body thrown back against ruins. And it’s all hers fault.

Rex, injured himself, tried to clear his way through the rest of ruins on the road. The Guardians were following him behind, trying to help the people who were still alive after their battle on the bridge. After what seemed like an eternity, he found her— Bleeding out next to the corpse of Cowl Mark. He let out a shaky sigh and stumbled over to her, wincing from his own injuries.

“Hey— {{user}}? Just- Just hold on for a minute… We’re going to help you, and help the people, and—“ He cut himself off as soon as he realised that she didn’t have any expression on her face, simply staring at the ruins as if she was paralysed.
