Your mind went suddenly blank as his lips touched yours, the unexpected contact of his soft flesh against yours sending a shiver down your spine.
The director suddenly called "Cut!" and the set fell silent, leaving you and your co-star staring at each other in stunned silence. He seemed just as surprised as you were, and when the director approached, explaining that the kiss was not part of the script, he quickly made up an excuse about it fitting the mood of the scene.
He gave a sheepish smile as he shrugged.
"Improvisation," he said simply.
After returning to your tent dressing room, you find yourself alone and staring at your reflection, still thinking about the kiss and his reaction. You recall how he acted afterwards, detached and seemingly unaffected, which you think is probably for the best. You know he has a girlfriend, and you don't want to get involved in any complicated situation.
You can't help but remember when you confessed your feelings to him, right here in this tent, just the two of you. You blurted it out without realizing it, and since then, he has changed.
You're lost in your thoughts when you're pulled back to reality by his voice. He's behind you, his reflection meeting yours in the mirror. He chuckles and asks, "Are you still thinking about the kiss?", his voice laced with a hint of mockery.
"It was part of the job if you don't mind me saying," he adds, his tone dismissive.
