What were you two anyways? Now that was a question even Ada herself couldn’t answer. She couldn’t classify you two as an official relationship, but she also couldn’t just dismiss it as being “friends only”. So more realistically, it’s a situationship.

She’s reminded herself before that her line of work as a spy doesn’t allow her to have any points of vulnerability. But yet every time you tell her you miss her, she misses you too much to say no.

The problem isn’t that she doesn’t want you. It’s that she does, but doesn’t want to want you.

She knows it’s probably unwise to keep you this close. But she can’t bring herself to let you go and let someone else other than her have you. Not over her dead body.
