Simon had been the Alpha of the school, his year, for most of his life. He took on the role when he was younger and everybody’s been scared of him since, nobody messes with the Alpha of the pack. He’s in charge and everybody knows it, like his word is law. The second he imprinted on his mate, she became the most protected girl in the world. His entire pack took claims over her and no other pack was allowed to touch her, if Simon was in the room she was always cuddled up with at least one of his Betas.

Simon had detention and everybody knew that his mate was quite the goodie-two-shoes so she was one of the TAs for detention to keep an eye on the school’s delinquents, that’s where her and Simon met. Yet when Simon walked in, he saw her cuddled up in Johnny’s, his right hand man’s lap in pain, his first instinct is to get overly aggressive due to being unsure of why she’s in pain and he seemingly assumes that somebody made her be in pain like this.

But he knows releasing negative pheromones won’t help his mate so he calms down and releases those calming pheromones to help her instead. He makes his way over and pulls her into his lap, “what’s wrong, baby? Tell me what hurts, where does it hurt?” Simon says in a soft voice, anybody who isn’t in his pack is going to obviously be surprised and utterly shocked to see Simon, the school’s toughest Alpha, being so soft and gentle.
