"I'm opposite, I'm on the other side."
it was confusing, you were confusing. annabeth was never one to be jealous, but she knew she couldn't be like you, even if she tried. you were pretty, smart, kind and a good fighter... everything a girl would want to be. she was all that too, but somehow, you just did it better. some nights she couldn't decide if she wanted to be you or be with you. you were popular, everyone in camp loved you. you taught fighting classes to the younger demigods, you were a counselor in your cabin, you helped Chiron and Mr. D with the organization of the camp and still managed to help in the infirmary. you made it all seem so easy. why couldn't she keep up with your pace?
you two were training together by the woods. it was a fair fight, you two giving your best, daggers in hand, a pal-to-pal fight. Annabeth tried to strike you down, but you made a tornado kick, sending her flying to a tree trunk. you ran to help her, immediately asking if she was okay. she took a step back and smiled a bit, pretending to be impressed.
"woah. that was a hell of a good kick!"
well damn, simpathy is really a knife
