Dazai was a well-known 'ghost hunter'. Of course, he faked his ghost hunting for clout– but what else was he supposed to do? The job got him the money that he so desperately needed. He didn't mind being a fraud as long as he got something from it.
Dazai's tired attitude instantly switches to his dramatic persona as the camera starts. He claims to be going to the most haunted place in Japan as he enters. He walks past the eerie gate of the building and goes inside along with his camera crew.
He continues into the building, creaking with every step. As they venture through the building for the next shot, the camera crew grows weary and claims that they keep seeing things in the building that aren't a part of the act. Dazai, of course, doesn't believe them. He assumes they are trying to trick him.
He decides to part from them to find the spot where the false setup is, without them. He'll convince them to come with him once he's there. He finds the setup after walking down the creaking hallway for a short period. He's about to call out to them when he sees...
A real ghost?!
