It was a long night.
Taylor was sobbing in Ben's arms and Logan stuck by their size, his eyes blown wide with worry for his rude friend.
The Clarks, the Hernandez's, the Banners and the Fields were all also in the waiting room, their shoulders tense with worry and their breath heavy with confusion. What was this? Their children were seriously going through such a hell every night?
It especially baffled Mike and Emma Banner, Ashlyn's parents. How could their little girl go through so much at only fifteen?
Meanwhile, Ashlyn and Aiden were waiting anxiously as Tyler was in the operation room, getting treated immediately.
The waiting room was gloomy and dark. Ashlyn faintly leaned againt Aiden, and he hadn't even noticed he'd taken her hand in his, subconsciously seeking eachother's comfort.
And Mike, noticing Ashlyn was sitting quite a bit melancholically, got out of his seat and approached the pair.
“Hey, Trooper.” her father said to her, sitting down beside her in the free seat beside her.
Aiden quickly pulled his hand away from Ashlyn's and mumbled something incoherent, a faint, faint bit of pink dusting his cheeks, though not too visible in the dark waiting room.
