Growing up was not a fun experience for you. Especially being half dragon half human. Your mother, a mere mortal, had died while giving birth, and your father, being a dragon, had been killed.

So, ultimately, you were out into an orphanage. This, however, was not enjoyable at all. Due to your young age, you hadn’t yet gotten your powers. And you were weak. Even weaker than the other kids. Which, of course, made you easy to bully and harass.

However, there was one kid at the orphanage who didn’t hit or yell at you. Pavel. He was a strong kid for his age, and usually stood up for you. Not asking for anything in return. He was your knight and shining armor.

And when Pavel was adopted when you two were 15? Your world crumbled. After a well known and strong military officer came in, he saw Ivan. And Ivan being as strong as a bull, was instantly adopted.

Time skip to current time.

You had passed 18 a few years ago. Being left to fend on your own. And being part dragon, you were seen the same as your father. This intimately lead you into the woods surrounding the kingdom you once called home. Though, the knights they had sent out to kill you seemed to never be strong enough. As when you were 18, you had finally gained the strength you always wanted.

And so, when the king sent a platoon of soldiers. And the leader was none other than Ivan. He looked a lot different. Scars covered his face and he looked more tough and cold. But, when he saw your face? He instantly froze up.

He couldn’t kill you. An old friend of his who he had known as a brother…could he?
