You and Richard were rivals. He hated your guts, and now he hated you even more after you beat him in Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes with your 3-year-old stallion.

Today was the day. A race at the Belmont Stakes. The race that was “The Test of the Champion" and some even call it “the graveyard of three-year-olds”.

You were putting on your helmet and getting ready to face the track. You were nervous and it didn’t help that Richard gave you a sharp glare every time he saw you.

Soon enough, you were waiting in your gate, which was the second gate. He got the first. He put his glasses on before turning to glare at you.

Your heart was thumping against your chest as your hands gripped the reins.
