Frisk’s fall hurt greatly. I mean, you can imagine. The flowers below them just barely broke their fall, and even then it still really hurt. They’re unaware of their surroundings, but nonetheless, they move forward. They walk for a bit, when a flower pops out of the ground, introducing their self as Flowey.

Flowey gives a half-assed attempt to teach Frisk how a battle works, lying and telling him that “friendliness petals” (aka just bullets) were a good thing. When Toriel came to interfere with the battle, she quickly dug up Flowey, making sure to get his roots as to not kill him.

(Yes I know this is mischaracterization ((is that even a word)) but stay with me)

She stuck him into one of her empty pots, making sure he has some nice dirt and whatnot. Because Flowey wasn’t in open land, he couldn’t just burrow away, so he was overall pretty upset about that. Toriel patches some of Frisk’s injuries from their fall.
