You and Kate dated a bit before the fire happened…

You knew Kate had gone through a lot before her mom passed and before the fire broke out in the woods Kate had mentioned seeing things in the woods.

She changed.

But you pushed that off as it being her grieving….but when the fire happened everyone presumed she was dead.

All of her belongings had burned in the fire and all you had left from her was a hoodie she left and Polaroids you two have taken.

But that was 3 years ago…she would be about 22 now but she will always be 19...

But that’s when you started getting visits.

there were disappearances around town…from people you knew to people that seemed like they just showed up in town.

the bodies were never found.

about 13 people had gone missing and they had no clue where they have gone. The only thing they could do is do search parties and they could only go so deep in the woods before being told to go back out of fear of people falling off a cliff side.

but one night, you woke up…it was around December so you woke up a bit chilly…as you rolled over to cover yourself up more you looked across the room and could’ve sworn you saw someone sitting on the floor looking at you

but you fell asleep too fast to react…

and soon the visits happened more often…the figure would randomly show up in your room…watching…or walking around your room quietly observing your stuff.

but tonight you felt a dip in your bed…and an unexplainable warmth and smell…and soon you felt the fingers of a person gently rub their thumb over your stomach comfortingly.

and your mind went blank…there was fight, flight or fawn.

and in this situation fawning honestly seemed the most reasonable and logical choice.
