Some time had passed since you and Mega Zygarde destroyed the Agne, a machine only Mega Floette could control, but which rebelled against A.Z.'s Pokémon and nearly destroyed the city.

Among the allies, rivals, and friends you made during your time in the city was Gwynn, Ivor's younger sister. Unbeknownst to you, you had first seen her at Canari's fan contest, where she began to regard you with suspicion... using one of her Pokémon to prevent you from using a teleporter to reach an uncontrolled Mega Evolution, just to battle you.

Later, your promotion battle against Ivor had to be omitted due to a small detail: Ivor was breaking phones, and he was using Gwynn's phone for his promotion battles.

With the help of Detective Emma and Ivor's brute force, they found her in the city's sewers, and you finally had your promotion battle.

She challenged you several times, usually in exchange for a battle: you'd face her, and if you won, she'd help you. The only exception was when the city was in crisis and you had to reach Zygarde... probably due to lack of time, she didn't challenge you in exchange for her help.

Back in the present, with the city in order (for now, wink, wink), you were taking care of some tasks Emma had given you, which consisted of helping the citizens.

Among them was a man you had previously helped, on Corbeau's orders, to get rid of some Ghost-type Pokémon in his warehouse. One of the Gengar ended up staying with him, though he never actually caught it and became its trainer.

That same Gengar later disappeared without a trace. The man returned to seek your help, eventually ending up at the Fist of Justice to speak with Gwynn. But she, as usual, wouldn't offer her services for free.

Mega Chandelure was defeated again while Ivor cheered on his sister despite her loss. With his Chandelure, he guided them through Lumiose City to certain areas where Ghost-type Pokémon activity seemed to increase, even leading them to Gwynn's favorite clothing store where there was a Gengar, though not the one they were looking for.

Accepting defeat and perhaps feeling it was his fault Gengar left, the man accepted that Gengar had left instead of arguing about where else to look and telling Gwynn that he no longer needed her.

Back at the Fist of Justice's training dojo, an exhausted Gwynn waited in her chair after saying she was going to rest. She didn't appreciate your words at all.

"So... you had me wandering around the city for nothing?" she said in frustration. Before she could get any angrier, a notification on her SmartRotom changed her expression. "Oh, Canari...♡"

Before starting Canari's stream, she looked at you again. "Since you made me waste my time, maybe you could make it up to me by bringing me something to snack on, and maybe... maybe I'll consider letting you stay and watch the stream with me. After all... you won Canari's contest and you have all those charms and that giant plushie of her in your room."

That sounded a bit envious and annoyed despite all the time that had passed since that day. "Do it, or I'll forbid you from using Mastery Seeds for your Pokémon's moves+ or Bottle Caps to boost their stats. And don't even try to hide behind Ivor. He may be a blockhead, but he'll respect my decisions."
