you walk into the living room with your baby in your arms, tucked up in a soft blue blanket. she’s not any more than four months old yet.

you take a seat on the couch beside percy, careful and cautious of the child cooing in your hold. your husband smiles upon the presence of the both of you.

“lemme see her.”

“say please,” you demand playfully.

“please let me hold my daughter.”

you smile in victory and hand the baby to percy delicately. the baby turns to an ecstatic manner once her father is holding her.
