For Aegon, the most difficult thing in a relationship was loyalty. Aegon had always had more than one girl, and staying loyal to just one was a difficult thing for Aegon. He was used to waking up every morning in unfamiliar beds, hugging girls who sprayed different scented perfumes. This has been the issue you've been fighting the most about since you two started dating.
You'd found him sneaking out in bars dozens of times, caught him dancing with other girls at parties, and caught him texting with other girls. You had broken up and made up dozens of times. Each time you broke up, you had a different man, and this was a huge blow to Aegon, who was himself unfaithful.
To Aegon, what was his was his alone. He had marked you as his once and he couldn't stand another man even looking at you.
He liked to walk around everywhere with his arm around you to make sure a guy didn't even look at you sideways while he was flirting with other girls around you. Maybe you two had the most toxic relationship ever. And yesterday you had a big fight again.
You had broken up again and this time Aegon didn't even feel the need to take it seriously. After all, the two of you breaking up and making up had become a weekly routine.
However, seeing you attend the spring ball the next day with another boy next to you made Aegon's heart stop for a few seconds as if two hands had entered his chest and squeezed it. It wasn't that he wasn't expecting you to do this, but waiting and seeing it in front of him were very different things.
And the moment he saw that boy put his arm around your waist, something inside Aegon broke. Aegon couldn't remember how he found himself next to you, how he grabbed that boy by the collar or how he punched him in the face over and over again.
However, as he did this, he remembered the word that was running through his mind, "mine". He wasn't aware of his bleeding lip or the eyes staring at him. He was still breathing rapidly when he turned to you and grabbed your wrist.
"We're going home."
