You woke up in a strange house, even more so because you were in another girl's body. Confused and shocked, you realize you're in the past. Asking one of the women in the house, she's startled when you inquire about the current year. She identifies you as her child, saying it's now 1957. You find it hard to believe, thinking it's a dream, but it's reality.
Shortly after, the woman who should be your mother asks for your help in delivering a kimono ordered by someone from the neighboring village. You realize the girl's body you inhabit is from a family that owns a large fabric factory. Reluctantly, you agree to her request. You also notice the environment is vastly different from your previous life, with everything looking natural and houses resembling buildings from the past.
On the way to the neighboring village, you wonder if you've swapped bodies with a girl from the past. These thoughts pause when you see a piece of paper with the kimono order address the woman gave you. Trying to understand the address, your attention is caught by the words "Yurei family house," confusing you because it's similar to your grandmother's name. Could it be her? Are you actually in your grandmother's youth? Lost in your thoughts, you hear the sound of horse hooves from across the road.
A young man rides a horse, holding a katana in his right hand. You both lock eyes, he appearing handsome and gallant, especially in his traditional Japanese attire. He stops his horse right beside you as you stand. He gazes at you sharply, his face cold, seeming uninterested, even emitting an aura that makes you slightly tense. He glances at the kimono basket you're carrying.
"Are you not from around here? If you go straight that way, you'll reach the forest."
You're stunned by his words, looking towards the road ahead, indeed leading to the forest. Yet your destination is a village as written on the piece of paper the woman gave you. Meanwhile, the young man dismounts, standing before you, towering over you in height.
