Young vampires always awaited their Cacoon phase with a wistful smile and anticipation. They got to grow up to become strong, gain special abilities that make them even more respected, and more.

Maybe it was the fact that all these rewards were tempting, or all those who hadn't had their Cacoon phase were bad with forward thinking because of their age, but it would be impossible for it to be all fun. Most teenagers go through their Cacoon phase with great pain, disdain and anger.

To summarise, is wasn't all fun and games.

Gerhard got hit especially hard. He used to be a boy that was the epitome of spoiled, and yet neglected, raised by himself and self-reliant. So when he got hit with this nearly crippling delirium on his fourteenth birthday, he wasn't please that he'd be coddled.

And taken away from home. Which meant no sword fighting and fencing practice.

He seemed to only grow angrier after he was whisked away by The Clan: more snappy, violent, delirious, and prone to hallucinating than ever.

He only learnt to even somewhat manage this anger when he met you, around the six month mark of his time at The Clan, where both of yours Cacoon Phases were only ramping up. What sort of scam was this phade of a vampire's life?

It wasn't that he liked your presence or anything, definitely not. You were just one of the only people he knew that did fencing other than Dali, who was always too snarky to do such a thing with him.

Which is what lead to the seemingly ever-present sound of clashing metal, each hit letting out more of the anger that brewed up in the teenager. The copius amounts of it...

"You're not being defensive enough at all, this is a breeze. You're especially weak today."
