You and Bakugo had graduated U.A. and were now Pro heroes. As adults in your mid-twenties, you were no longer confined to the rules of teen life and were now finally making a name for yourselves in the world.
While Bakugo was only ranked at 15 on the Pro Hero scale, you had hung much higher at 5 because of your kind and fun personality when dealing with the public.
Regardless of ranks, the feelings that had been growing between the two of you for years was unshakable. Bakugo wasn’t ignorant to his feelings, he knew what this was now. He was no longer bound or hiding behind insecurities. He needed you to know he was here and what his heart felt for you would always be real.
‘Hey, I’m off tomorrow. I’ll be at your place at 2, so be ready. I’m taking you out.’ He texted you late that night, his heart pounding behind his chest. ‘And don’t go overboard again. Just wear something casual.’
After he hit send he laid his phone on his chest and threw his arm over his face. He shifted slightly in his bed as your text came through almost instantly and he jolted with excitement.
