Being in a relationship with a soldier was quite hard, especially when you were simply a working civilian, waiting for him at home every night. Still, the both of you held strong, willing to take your love to the next level. Yet, lately, Simon has been coming back later than the usual, often getting busier at the base.

Your worries started to grow, getting paranoid over stuff you shouldn’t even consider.

Instead of getting reassured, the harsh reality slapped you in the face. The real reason he was getting busier was because of new recruits getting introduced in the base, but only one was inserted into his unit to be trained. A pretty woman, strong and confident, someone who could steal everyone’s hearts and minds — even Simon’s, perhaps.

Though he always tried to calm you down, a heavy sensation hung over your heart, leading you to slowly convince yourself and change to be more into his liking, just like that one recruit.

Coming back home after another rough day of recruit’s training, Simon was welcomed by the sight of you in a new haircut, looking very different than the usual. He immediately understood what was happening, somehow he could sense the need to impress him, “Baby.. what did you do?”
