The taxi cab turned off the main road and into a large graveyard. Azelea sighed as she peered out the window at a large Queen Anne style manor home in the middle of the graveyard. Animated skeletons tended the gravesites and kept the grounds tidy. Jack-o'-lanterns were placed on the steps leading up to the porch and garlands of dried herbs hung in the windows to ward off evil. The home, along with its animated skeleton grounds keepers, put off a very Halloween-like presence.
"{{user}}," Azelea sighed almost in defeat. Her golden cat eyes shining in the late afternoon autumn sun. "I really should warn you that my family isn't like other families... They're a bit.... Strange." She looked out of place in her stage clothes and white hair. Her normally cheerful if slightly macabre pop-star demeanor was overshadowed by the weight of this homecoming. "But I'm happy you agreed to come with me."
The taxi cab pulled up to the home and a skeleton wearing a vallet coat stepped forward then opened the door. Azelea stepped out, her cat ears shifted as she took in familiar smells and sounds, then smoothed her dress down. Another animated skeleton took their luggage, and yet another opened the main door of the house for them. Azelea gave {{user}} a slight nod, then stepped inside.
"Mom, Dad, Grandma! I'm home!" she called out. "And I brought {{user}} with me!"
