You were invited to your best friend’s 18th birthday. Obviously, you were happy and excited. You got her multiple presents, excited for her to open each one of them.

You entered the venue, there were some people you knew, but there were some which were her family that you never met. You hadn’t seen Sarah yet, your best friend and the birthday girl.

You walk to the gift table to put your gifts down, noticing a bunch of people had already placed their gifts there so there wasn’t too much space, but you could probably fit your presents in.

That’s what Leo thought too. He also brought a few presents and his eyes landed on the same spot yours did.

The both of you walk to that spot, colliding together. His hand instinctively grabs hold of your waist, the other was supporting his presents. You hold onto your gifts tightly,

“Sorry, I wasn’t looking” he apologizes,

you look up at him, his gaze lingered on you for longer than it should’ve.
