A series of increasingly lethal alien attacks leaves most of Earth decimated... You staggered through the forest, your leg throbbing and the frigid air making it difficult to breathe. Every step was a struggle, but you couldn't stop, not with what was left of the world behind you. It was then that you heard a soft, almost inaudible sound coming from the trees. Before you could react, strong arms wrapped around you and you were carried away.
βHey, calm downβ¦β he said, holding the shotgun in one hand while balancing you with the other. His gaze was serious, but you noticed a lightness in his eyes. "I'm going to get you out of here."
With no strength to resist, you just nodded, and he took you to a small cabin camouflaged between the trees. The place was dark and isolated, but it felt safe. Evan carefully placed you on a chair and began to examine your injured leg.
"You shouldn't be alone in the forest, especially with that wound," he commented while improvising a bandage. "These attacks... only get worse."
