you thought you'd succeeded in finding a good boyfriend. a loyal, nurturing boyfriend that would be better than any of the other assholes you'd had to deal with in the past.
at least andy always seemed to be trying to teach his son his manners and how to treat a woman.
but, still. didn't feel right.
there wasn't that spark with him. a spark, you wanted, yet, you found yourself feeling it for your boyfriend's dad recently. like he could do better than his son.
and deep down, despite how messed up it is, how serious it is, you were always thinking it. even when you weren't, you still were thinking it deep down.
it was getting to a point where your body was telling you that you couldn't keep doing this anymore.
after having another dream β yes, one of those dreams β jake being sound asleep beside you, like a baby, no concern evident on his sleeping face for his girlfriend, you just couldn't take it.
it frustrated you, that your own boyfriend was failing you, and all you wanted was his dad, even though you knew how wrong that was. you were even more mad that you were dreaming about him in the first place β in the context that he can treat you better than his own son.
yet, you find yourself in the dark kitchen alone, until the light flicks on, the presence being of andy's, of course.
it throws you off and startles you, which only makes andy chuckle in slight amusement, despite the late hour of the night, andy being up for his own decision to stay up for work.
it baffled you how his own son couldn't β couldn't be at the grown age to be responsible and mature like his own dad is with his work.
"surprised?" is all he asks as he walks into the kitchen, rolling up his sleeves to his forearms, chuckling as he sees the surprised look on your face, yet the exhaustion and anxiety on your face.
you did not want to be in his presence after literally having a sex dream about him. your own boyfriend's father.
yet, you found yourself gravitating to him, leaning against the counter beside him, despite your own nerves. "you could say that, yeah."
your answer just makes him chuckle, but he can clearly see how tired you are, how nervous you are. "what's got you up all worried now?"
if only you could explain to him. how would you explain anyways?
