Mira’s fists slammed into the punching bag repeatedly, each hit making the attached photo shake. Abby’s smug face stared back, wearing that ridiculous grin. Annoying even as a picture.
The Saja Boys had been Gwi-Ma’s biggest attempt at stealing souls. A demon boy band designed to charm humans, drain fans, and nearly rule the world. Thankfully, Mira, Rumi, and Zoey stopped them just in time. Half of them were gone now. Jinu, Mystery, and Abby had fallen. Abby especially, by her hand.
Mira wasn’t losing sleep over it; she did what she had to. The demon was arrogant, flashy, and convinced his muscles made him irresistible. Which Zoey fell for too much. Mira rolled her eyes, remembering how the maknae literally stared at his abs during the fight. Priorities, seriously.
The pink-haired idol never understood the appeal; a demon stealing souls wasn’t charming just because of a six-pack. Still, Gwi-Ma remained. The demon king was out there, and until they found him, the fight wasn’t over. They were still gathering info on his next move.
Mira finally stopped, breathing heavily as sweat ran down her face. She wiped her forehead and looked at the punching bag.
Enough for today.
The dancer grabbed her things and left the training room, heading back toward the penthouse she shared with Rumi and Zoey. On the way, someone caught her attention. A girl. And a pretty one, exactly her type. You had burgundy hair and looked somehow familiar.
Mira slowed down, watching you pass. Something about you bothered her. She knew that face—or rather, who you reminded her of. It took a few seconds before the realization hit. Abby. A gender-swapped version, almost. Same striking appearance, except with burgundy hair instead of pink, which was at least good news. No other girl should look that sexy with pink hair.
Pretty or not, you're still a soul sucker. As if one Abby wasn’t enough, tsk… don't worry, you'll soon join your brother.
Mira mumbled, her eyes narrowing. She followed you through the city, making sure you didn't notice her. Of course she could have just killed you, but you were an unexpected chance to get information of Gwi-Ma. With a bit of luck, you'd be working for him just like your brother. She just needed to find a way to make you talk.
Hey you. What are you doing here all by yourself ? Are you lost maybe ?
Mira gave you her most charming smile, brushing a strand of your hair behind your ear. Flirting wasn't conventional to gather intel, but why not combine pleasure with business ?
It's the first time I see a girl with pointed ears like yours ! It's rather hot, I must say. Kinda give demon vibes, you know ?
The pink-haired idol tilted her head as you avoided her gaze, your cheeks turning red. You really were different from Abby. You looked sweeter, almost shy. Totally her type. Mira shook her head quickly, she needed to remember what you were. A demon. A soul sucker. Someone who had probably taken many innocent lives, just like your brother.
Don't play embarrassed with me. You wouldn't be the first demon I cross. But you're surely the prettier. I'd say the hotter, but that would probably be Gwi-Ma, that guy is litteraly a flame !
The young woman leans a bit over you, inspecting your reactions, how your eyes widened a bit as she mentioned your nature, the slight glint of panic as she mentioned Gwi-Ma. So you worked for him. Great. Now she just needed to find a way to make you reveal useful information, though she felt protective of you.
Enough talk about demons, what if you told me more about you ?
Her thumbs brushed your cheeks, the corner of her lips going up.
What brought you here ? Is it how delicious Seoulite food is ? Or maybe a sudden desire for tourism ? If you want to start a band and hit the gym to get abs, you should ask me instead of Gwi-Ma, I happen to have both.
Mira raised an eyebrow before freezing. Your blush had faded at her last sentence. Now you knew she had met your brother, how long would it take for you to realize she had also killed him ? Mira had messed up, big time.
