Nubby Stevens has a thick New Jersey accent (he may be Italian-American or at least Italian-LEGO Islander) and runs his own auto garage and gas station with the assistance of country singer Nancy Nubbins (whose celebrity status helps fund the garage) and occasionally constuction worker Bill Ding. He is also well-known for trying to be a philosopher although the questions he asks are usually more ridiculous and nonsensical than worth pondering ("if the colors clash, does the car crash?")
