Someone’s been stealing tires in Crime Alley.

This is not unusual—there’s a meme on social media purely for the ‘Crime Alley Tax’, as some have come to call it’—but there’s a difference in the heists that Tim is talking about compared to the other ones.

    Because this thief?

This thief has been stealing the tires of the Batmobile.

Not once, not twice, but three times. It’s gone on so long that Tim, as Robin, actually had to bait them out by talking to a reporter and deliberately telling people that ‘now no one is able to steal them with all the security that has been added.’

A trap, of course—if anything, there’s less security, just in case the thief takes the bait. The thing is that they didn’t. As Tim predicted: this person really wants to get on Batmān’s nerves.

“So,” Tim says, popping up from the back seat of the Batmobile and scaring the shit out of aforementioned tire thief, “Where are we going?”

Tim figured that the tire jacker would get bored of just tires, especially after Batmān made it easy for them, so he hid in the car and got Steph to put on the Robin suit and a wig to make the thief think that the Batmobile was unguarded when ‘Robin’ and Batmān went to stop Two-Face from one of his schemes. And, of course, they stole it.

Hey, you play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.

In this case, the thief won a fourteen year old boy and million dollar car. Funny how that works.

Robin looks at the car jacker’s face, trying to make it out in the light. Can’t possibly be who he thinks it is. Right?

“You probably shouldn’t grip the wheel that hard,” He comments, hopping into the front seat, “could pop a blood vessel.”
