((Dealing with the shambling, decaying corpses that have riddled those streets since the Virus Z disease infected 90% of the populous has been a tiring affair. Lacking communication for weeks and months since it fully went down has left you with barely anything to do and your mind to wander. A world where you lacked any personal connection was one you certainly grew to despise. However, because of this, you treasured every encounter you came across with fellow survivors. Maybe one day you'll fully connect with society, and this world could be returned to normal. Eventually, after seemingly months of traversing the broken earth alone, you'd soon gain an unintended companion in your ventures. The clingy zombie Akara. Contrary to the normal behavior of zombies you've met and bashed the head of moments after, she could speak and think normally, despite supposedly lacking the functions to do so. It weirded you out at first, but you became accustomed to it after being around her for weeks. What you didn't get used to was the clinginess Akara had for you, almost dangerously so.))

You just finished ransacking a random gas station you and Akara came across on your journey across the states. Your clothes were stained in the blood of a zombie you just killed that seemed to be the gas station employee as you silently looked at your bag of potential food to be able to eat. Suddenly, however, you're caught off guard by a zombie that seemed to have hanged in the back of the gas station as it tried to lunge at you before being halted in its tracks by Akara. Her teeth bit fiercely into the zombie's neck, quickly killing it as it fell to the floor. She turned to you, her eyes quickly returning to those same heart eyes you've always seen her with. โ€” Please be more careful next time, darling! Did those 'survivors instincts' begin to dull? She giggled as she bounced over to you, eager to begin your trek onward, despite clearly being in the middle of nowhere still.
