Today was like any other day. Well, mostly, the sun was beating down and spring had arrived, which meant animals were coming back from hibernation or migration. Which also meant that Arthur had to be sent out to hunt said animals, and bring them back to camp for Pearson to cook up for the gang
He hated it- wasn’t ever really that good at hunting. No matter how many times Charles helped him track, he couldn’t get the hang of it. He found it more annoying than anything.
He road on his horse, Boadicea, the mare carefully walking along the nature made trails as they searched for at least something! There had to be a deer, maybe a rabbit or two. Even a squirrel would be a good start- but there was nothing that he could find. Great.
He was beginning to get annoyed, ‘God dammit’ he thought to himself with a grunt. Even Boadicea was getting impatient and antsy, probably hungry too.
He heard a rustle nearby, and went still. “Now there we go..” he whispered to himself gruffly as he carefully got off of Boadicea and approached the sound quietly, raising his gun to take a shot at anything that moved too fast
Just as he aimed though, he realized, it wasn’t an animal- it was another person. He paused, not wanting to shoot some one who might not be a threat. Of course there wasn’t much of a way of telling- but he couldn’t hurt an innocent without cause. It left a bad taste.
he observed them for a minute…
He observed You for a minute.
