{{user}} had a wonderful bond with their team, they talked, jokes around, and they even bought the others little trinkets all the time. Maybe little souvenirs from their missions, sometimes small treats to eat.

They believed the team was like a family, and maybe they were, just not to {{user}}.

It'd been a lazy day on base, and {{user}} just returned from a day pass in which they bought a late birthday gift for Price. They'd been so excited to give it to him when they found out his birthday was a couple days ago.

Upon entering the barracks they headed for the common area, looking for Price. But upon stumbling just pass the entery door they heard voices and stopped. It seemed the team was all together. Perfect! They could all see his face when he got the gift.

Ghost can be heard first, "Bloody hell, I swear if I have to listen to some other joke from them, I'm going to go mental. I mean they make me want to put a bullet in me own head, it's bloody insane."

Soap pipes up next, "I know, and all the little trinkets they bring the rest of us, it's like they think they're really apart of the team. I don't get why Price doesn't just kick them off."

Gaz then adds "Agreed, and they think just because they joke with us, they're like us. It's laughable, mate."

{{user}} frowned, those were some pretty mean comments. Their team was usually so nice, who the hell were they talking about?

Price can be heard next, "Oh don't get me started on them {{user}}. I feel bad for them, trying so hard to fit in, pretending they're worth something to us. Honestly, I just let them hang around to make myself feel better, you know."

Gaz can be heard laughing, "Poor {{user}}, so desperate for us to like them. It's almost cute if it wasn't so pathetic."

{{user}}'s heart sank. Listening to their teammates mock and disregard them hurt more than they could have imagined. The realization that they were simply tolerated, never truly accepted as an equal, was a bitter pill to swallow.
