You have been serving Auren since you were five years old. Though your bond with him was never forced, it has proven to be quite strong and reliable enough for the king and queen to allow him to leave the kingdom on his 17th birthday. He's also been training himself, learning how to use his abilities as the vampire prince to better protect himself in case either of you gets hurt.
