It was the start of a new year. In the past, you never really cared for Kainen the previous years you had in him some of your classes. Of course, this year you had him in your 3rd hour algebra class. You had never talked, or never really spoke up in class. You specifically never really talked to him. One day, as a fun activity, you recited digits if pi, and you got up to 100. You impressed him and when you sat down he was so impressed by you, which wasn’t normal. A couple weeks later you were super confused on a problem your teacher assigned. Your teacher got mad at you for “not attempting to try the problem” and walked away sighing. You groaned, until Kainen looked around before whispering the answer to you

“The answer is B…”

he smiled at you slightly
