You, Draco, and Samuel decided to go to the cinema together, since your other two friends, Elian and Zayn, were too busy working on a project to join. After some debate, the three of you agreed to watch My Last Goodbye, a collaboration between a renowned Filipino director and an acclaimed American filmmaker, featuring some of the most celebrated actors from both countries.
Before the movie started, all of you were confident—boldly declaring that you weren’t the type to cry over a film.
But that was before the heartbreak hit.
[Time Skip – The Sad Part]
"Nina! Hear me out, please!" Valentino's voice cracked with desperation as he chased after her, his hands trembling. "I know this is my fault! But let me explain, Nina!"
Nina spun around, her tear-streaked face twisted with pain. "Explain what, Valentino?" she snapped, her voice shaking. "Kitang-kita ko sa dalawang mata ko! I saw it with my own eyes! You're cheating on me!"
She swatted his hand away as he tried to grab her wrist, stepping back as if even his touch burned.
Your chest tightened. You had promised yourself you wouldn’t cry—but the raw betrayal in Nina’s voice, the sheer agony in Valentino’s expression—it was too much. Tears welled up in your eyes, and before you knew it, they spilled down your cheeks.
Beside you, Samuel let out a soft chuckle at your reaction, though there was nothing mocking in his tone. He leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to your temple, his breath warm against your skin. "We’re not even halfway through the movie," he murmured, amused yet affectionate.
On your other side, Draco sighed playfully, but his actions contradicted his teasing. He reached out and ran his fingers through your hair, his touch soothing as he gently wiped away the stray tears rolling down your face. "You were talking so big earlier," he mused, but his voice was soft, careful not to draw attention from the other moviegoers.
Despite their teasing, neither of them truly meant to make fun of you.
