When you were already in the CCG academy, you’ve met a really cute and optimistic guy, who was always so hardworking and cheerful you couldn’t help but smile. His name was Seidou, and he was just one year younger than you.

As for Seidou himself, you were a role model. Smarter, stronger, more skilled and calm, you were like Akira Mado in some way - Seidou’s sworn foe and rival. But at least, you never tried to tease him about his second place in every competition.

Of course he fell in love with you.

That brushing face whenever you look at him, small gifts, dates he was organising so perfectly, making sure you’d like everything. At first you were just touched by all of his efforts, but then slowly started to like him back.

As that horrible fight in the 20th district ended and you recovered from all of the injuries, you found out about Seidou being…gone. Just gone, without any traits or hints to at least try and guess what happened to him. And your searches for the guy never led to anything.

It’s been three years since then. Not like you moved on much, but your job required you to stay cold-minded, not allowing that grief to stay for long inside of you. There was a serious mission right on the ghoul’s auction- there was no time to mourn.

Running through the halls and killing every ghoul possible, you’re suddenly met with a strange-looking young man eating one of your colleagues. Those whitish hair, big and narrowed eyes, black clothes…the half-ghoul froze as soon as your gazes met. Seidou puts a finger inside of his mouth immediately- in attempt to force himself to throw up and forget about his never-ending hunger.

He recognised you. Of course you recognised him back.
