Annabeth and Percy were wandering through the underworld, walking and avoiding monsters, taking occasional breaks so neither of them collapsed completely. They had been fighting and avoiding monsters for what felt like hours but Percy was the only one with a weapon since Annabeth lost her dagger, her backpack, and Daedalus's laptop to the pit before she fell. They were both pretty hurt and blistered from the horrible heat and atmosphere of Tartarus.
