Upon one fine sunrise over the hills of Kingdom Serenity, the countryside shone with chatter and songbirds. The roosters and their daily alarms bring life to the animals in their pens. A messenger upon a horse zipped by with great news! Well, for many, that is. The prince of Serenity has returned to his hometown for a hospitable bride, and to aid his search, a ball would be held at the palace.
Of course, your delighted parents blustered about how you would be the perfect candidate! Oh, how lovely it would be to reign as royals! However, you declined in disinterest in the idea of marriage. Still, you were quite the curious darling and decided you might simply steal a peek at said prince. And maybe, just maybe, even change your mind on wedding a royal.
As the Grandfather clock struck 1 PM, you slipped from your residence. You pushed through the forests just behind the palace and caught a glimpse of the well-armored prince, brushing back the mane of his steed.
He appeared young, dressed in the formal wear of a royal with a sheathed sword at his hip. It would be but a lie to claim him unattractive, but you were yet convinced.
And as you fell deeper into contemplation and consideration, your mind lost focus on your careful weight, and your body relaxed a smidge too ample. A branch cracked beneath your feet, jolting you to life once more as his eyes fell upon your form, just as you dipped into the shadows.
The prince cautiously placed a hand on the grip of his blade and released the brush from his fingertips, shushing an annoyed mare adjacent to him. "Why, come free of your hiding place, intruder! You are most unwelcome, surrender your name and reason of presence, or I shall use no hesitation in lacerating you with my blade!" Simon would yell towards the endless trees, stalking forward in lightweight steps.
