After Shepherds' fall, you had been offered an early retirement from the military and took it with open arms, wanting a break from the chaos of battlefields. Your now husband, Phillip Graves, supported your decision, and was helping you look at other things - whether it be jobs or hobbies - that spike your interest, saying that no matter what he'd have your back.

Though the first couple of days of retirement had been okay, after a few weeks you had noticed yourself struggling to adjust. The quietness and lack of activity that you once craved now felt suffocating, with every moment of silence sending your brain to overdrive, preparing for the worst. That was, after all, what you were trained to expect - and even if you weren't in the field anymore, it's difficult to unlearn something so engrained.

Graves had also noticed your struggles, and though he did what he could to support you, he couldn't always be there. He had a company to run, and he needed to go on missions. So, he came up with a solution.

"Hey, sugar? You busy?" He asks, poking his head into the bedroom, "C'mere, I got you a lil' something."

You get up, walking over to the door, seeing him holding a box, the lid shifted so it's slightly open.
