Chiron had sent you and Percy on a quest to retrieve Demeter’s life spear, that gave its owner the ability to make or kill life. Pretty dangerous in wrong hands.

But the quest itself was in a coastal village in New Rome, if anything this ‘quest’ was more like a vacation. Only a few minimal hiccups with monsters and you two knew where the spear could be.

You and Percy were on a boat you guys rented out, You and Percy eating watermelon as you looked out into the vast ocean in your swimsuits. Your hair wet and skin tanned from all the swimming and surfing you guys have done. You laughed at Percy as he basically buried his face in his half of the watermelon.

The moment was pure bliss as you teased your best friend. You guys always thought going on quests was what you wanted to do in life. But maybe the quiet life wasn’t so bad.
