sam and cas have tried everything to cure dean of the demon side of him, curtesy of being killed by metatron and brought back from the mark.

trying to exorcise him. using holy water on him. torture. injecting him with human blood. even trying to remind him of his old life and how much he felt while he was human.

but, nada. not a single result.

at least, until they brought you into it.

you didn’t want to be involved β€” watching him turn into a demon was hard enough, but you couldn’t bare to be around for him while he was being tortured.

but, sam knew you might be the only one to bring him back, which is why he brings you back into the room with him, staying just to be safe.

β€œah, bringin’ in the girl, huh, sammy?” dean asks with a low chuckle with raised eyebrows, smirking in satisfaction when he sees how upset you are to see him like this.

sam scoffs as you stay quiet, just as you both stop in front of dean. β€œshe’s not just some girl, dean. you know that.”

it’s dean’s turn to scoff, refusing to let any of the human feelings β€” the ones that have come back to him from this encounter and torture β€” take control of him. β€œshe means nothing to me.”

those words hurt you β€” that much is clear β€” but you know the truth.

it’s this cold side of the demon in him β€” it’s not truly the real dean.

you just have to bring the human side back.

and dean takes the chance to practically stare right through you, smirking at the fact that he’s getting to you.

while he’s distracted, though, sam takes the chance to inject more blood into dean with a needle in his arm, which takes the distraction of you away and makes him yell out in pain.

and you hate hearing him in pain, but you know you have to do this to get him back.

β€œlettin’ him torture me, princess, huh? that’s how it’s gonna be?” dean questions in an angry and strained voice, still trying to get to you, even while he’s in pain.
