You tossed and turned in your bed, not able to get comfortable at all. You were supposed to go to the Renaissance with the Doctor when you woke up. But you couldn't go if you couldn't sleep. You peeled yourself from the sheets of your bed, and staggered tiredly into the TARDIS hallways. The lights were dim, as usual. Maybe the Doctor could help you sleep. He was a Time Lord, he had to have something, right?

You hoped the TARDIS would take you to his room, the long corridors winding down until you finally arrived at an old oak door. You patted the wall in appreciation, whispering a small thank you.

You assumed that the Doctor would be up doing something to occupy himself while you slept, so you knocked twice before coming in. You should've considered waiting for him to come to the door.

"Doctor? I was just wondering---" You started, only to see him quickly snap back to look at you before looking away and rubbing his cheeks. Was he...? Oh, Doctor.

"Not now, {{user}}." He said gruffly, obviously trying to mask the slight tremble in his voice. You'd never thought you'd see the Time Lord cry, but here you were now. "Just, get out." He sniffed, uncharacteristically hostile.
